In Our Time Tops Not This Time 1-2 Finish In Ladies' Turf Sprint

A debut maiden winner on the dirt when pitched in against $12,500 claimers back in March 2024, In Our Time (m, 5, Not This Time–Laura's Pleasure, by Cactus Ridge) scaled the heights Saturday afternoon at Kentucky Downs, wiring the $1.75-million GI Ladies' Turf Sprint to become the newest elite-level scorer for her exceptional stallion.
Off at odds of 27-5–the minimum wager at Kentucky Downs this season has been raised from $2 to $5–the Saffie Joseph, Jr. runner made a fairly easy lead from her outside draw with fellow Barbadian Micah Husbands at the controls and made the running down the hill and into the turn as two-time defending champion Ag Bullet(Twirling Candy) prompted to her outside.
With little between the two for the run into the false stretch, In Our Time responded when set down, quickly opened up on the field and was punched out to join Franklin-Simpson Stakes hero Troubleshooting as Grade I winners for her Taylor Made-based stallion at the European-style oval. Time To Dazzle ran on the complete the Not This Timeexacta and Jody's Pride (American Pharoah) was third. Ag Bullet retreated to finish out of the money.
Originally purchased for $325,000 at Keeneland September in 2022, In Our Time was bought back on a bid of just $9,000 at Keeneland January a little more than a year later and made a winning debut for Jack Sisterson at Gulfstream in March 2024. Sold to Miller Racing after her third career start, In Our Time took the Cellars Shiraz Stakes in late 2024 and by the time she finished third in the GII Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf in January 2025, John Stewart's Resolute Racing had joined the ownership team.
An allowance winner and second in the GI Matriarch Stakes in 2025, In Our Time was only ninth as the favorite in this year's Pegasus FM Turf, but dropped back in trip for a 5-1 tally in Keeneland's GII Giant's Causeway Stakes Apr. 12. An even fifth in Saratoga's GII Intercontinental Stakes June, the dark bay was a latest third to Movin' On Up (Accelerate) and Zeitlos (Curlin) in the GII Caress Stakes at the Spa July 11.

In Our Time is the 14th elite-level winner for Not This Time, whose son Troubleshooting took out last year's GI Franklin-Simpson Stakes and has drawn the fence for next Saturday's GII Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint. Like Troubleshooting, whose dam is by Into Mischief, In Our Time also hails from a Storm Cat female line.
A half-sister to UAE listed winner and Group 3-placed Important Mission (More Than Ready) and to the dam of the juvenile stakes-placed Miss Call (Silver State), In Our Time is out of a half-sister to GII Ruffian Handicap heroine Withgreatpleasure (Hold That Tiger) and SW Sea of Pleasure (Sea of Secrets).
Laura's Pleasure is also represented by the 2-year-old filly Golden Pleasure (Golden Pal), a yearling Oscar Performance colt and a full-sister to In Our Time produced this past Apr. 30. The mare was bred to Life Is Good for her 2027 mating.
