Overview
My Lil Dude, known simply as “Dude” around the farm, is a Thoroughbred gelding whose name perfectly reflects his quiet, old-soul personality. He became part of Resolute Racing’s Racing to Rescue program in early 2024 after he and another Thoroughbred were saved from a kill pen, ensuring he would have the opportunity for a safe and secure future.

With 12 career starts and over $50,000 in earnings, Dude gave his all during his racing career before finding himself in need of support and rehabilitation. When he arrived, he was underweight and dealing with lameness, requiring time, care, and patience to recover both physically and emotionally.

Once healthy and fit again, we sent him over to New Vocations where he could be retrained as a riding horse. In May of 2026 he was successfully adopted and is enjoying life with his person! She plans to bring him along as a hunter pace horse!
